Brainchild of the UK Chairmanship of Eureka, the award recognises successful outcomes from the past five years across our different types of projects – Network, Eurostars and Cluster.
The winners were announced by UK Eureka Chairman Tim Bestwick at the Eureka Global Innovation Summit held in Manchester in May 2019 and attended by some 2,000 visitors from over 40 countries worldwide.
From all the entries received, five projects were shortlisted by a jury chaired by representatives from Business Finland, Barco (Belgium), Birmingham City University (UK), Eureka national project coordinators (NL and UK) and two representatives from the Eureka Association in Brussels. Special attention was given to impact on business growth, impact on society and innovation in a global context.
The shortlisted projects were Celtic-Plus SASER; Celtic-Plus SIGMONA; 10124 Eurostars KIDS4LIFE; 8176 Eurostars TEHADP and Itea-3 AVANTI. A video showcases these five outstanding projects. Congratulations to all involved!
